Back to Work

After presenting at A Wee Dram last week, I took a couple of days off to do the tourist thing around London with my Mom. I'm now off to Phuket in Thailand to hang out somewhere warm and well away from my clients to really focus on upgrading our internal LightBase framework and the surrounding systems. I won't be able to get everything done in a month, but I'm hoping to be posting on some interesting topics - from CSS frameworks to automated creation od staging and dev environments to more hints and tips on meta-programming in ColdFusion as I review and upgrade all of my code.

Hey, you shouldnt be even thinking about work on a holiday to Phuket. Just enjoy the amazing beaches and the little islands around ! Phuket is always in my head though, for a reason. I was to board a Phuket bound plane on the day Tsunami happened, back then. But for work related reasons, I had to delay my trip at the last moment. What an escape! But I still love those beautiful islands and would go again sometime. Happy holiday!

Well I hope they are ready for the credit crunch when you get there ;)

@Anuj, Wow - glad you managed to avoid the Tsunami. I'm really looking forwards to the trip as I haven't been anywhere in Asia yet, so it should be fun. I also have scuba gear with me, so I'll take a little time off from the coding to get some diving in!

@Kev, I spent too long in London - the credit crunch has now officially got ahead of me. Serves me right for spending a whole week without getting on a 'plane to somewhere! Good to see you at "a wee dram".
