Coming to you from sunny Scotland, I'll be in London October 19th, Montreal (for OOPSLA) Oct 20-25, Vancouver (just for the day) on October 26th and then three months in sunny Sydney before I return to NYC in January. three months in Sydney? Well, I hope you get a chance to do a bit of traveling around our huge beautiful sunburnt country...

... if you can be tempted to travel north into Queensland (on the way to the Great Barrier Reef perhaps?), drop in to Brisbane - we'll make you feel welcome.

Hi Barry, Thanks! I'll do my best, although by the time I get to Sydney I may feel like sticking in one place for a little while - I'll keep you posted though, and I'm sure to be back some time after this trip.

Well, first set up your own company and go through the lovely learning process of building a (somewhat) profitable business, then make sure you can do business off your laptop (Skype and the like), and can live out of a suitcase for three months. After that it's pretty much a case of going onto Expedia, booking a ticket, and then hoping you can rent a flat from one of the housing boards online (I'll let you know how that goes some time between now and landing in Australia).

Hi David,

I'll certainly let you know, although I'd also love to see Melbourne and Brisbane and I'm not sure if I'll even make it out of Sydney this time round. If not, you can be sure I'll be back later - would LOVE to see NZ!!!

You also need a resourceful Irish guy to keep things running in new york while other people travel the world !!! I was going to add the word reliable but since i cant be found if there is an international rugby match or soccer match on TV i decided to leave it out

Yeah, without the resourceful Irish guy it'd all fall apart, but Maurice - shhhhh - you're the secret weapon. Didn't want the word to get out or EVERYONE would be going and getting themselves a resourceful Irish guy to go run their business for them :->
