Presenting at OOPSLA!!!
I'm pumped about this for a number of reasons . . .
Firstly, I work on low budget projects for Small to Medium sized Businesses. I love the OOOPSLA topics, but by their very nature, most of them relate to enterprise projects which can afford the people and resources to do cutting edge work. Nice to be able to bring a very different perspective to the audience.
Secondly, I've learnt a great deal from all of the conferences I've presented at in the last year. I have a feeling that OOPSLA will be no exception.
Thirdly, this really forces me to continue to refine my thinking. From cf.objective() through Frameworks, Scotch and the Code Generation conference I had to introduce our ideas to increasingly sophisticated audiences - validating our approaches and refining them based on feedback and what others are doing. The OOPSLA presentation (and some possible papers at the co-located DSM conference I'll be submitting) will really force me to again review best practices in the code generation and domain specific modeling businesses and to make sure I have some interesting points to raise - for both those new to DSM and SPLs and those who have been doing it forever! Exciting times!

Congrats mate. Speaking at OOPSLA is no joke, I am sure you feel quite honored.
